One of the SchweizerCraft "Companions of Christmas" series (#F 30)
The nut-bringing giftgiver whose visit kicks off the Christmas season in the Alpine countries on November 11. St. Martin had been a Roman soldier who famously cut his uniform cloak in half to give to a cold beggar. His cloak was miraculously restored, and now, each holiday season, he cuts it anew, and from the cut piece can pull a never-ending supply of nuts of all sort to give to the children he encounters.
